August 24, 2000 7(23):140

Joe Lauer, Corn Agronomist

As we enter into the 2000 corn silage harvest season, farmers, consultants and industry are reminded of the internet site available for monitoring rate of drydown throughout Wisconsin. The website is located at County agents collect data from either county drydown days where farmers can get corn forage moisture measured, or recurrent sampling of local cornfields. Results are entered into the website by county agents and be viewed immediately along with projected dates of harvest for various silage structures.
