Wisconsin County Soybean Yield Records

May 2, 2002 9(7):53-54

Joe Lauer, Agronomist

Below are the highest recorded soybean yields for counties in Wisconsin. The highest soybean yield recorded was a field entered into the PEPS contest in 1995 from Chippewa county where 85 bu/A was measured. Use these yield levels not as a production target for a farm, but as a "upper limit" for soybean production using today's genetics and technology against which fields and management level can be measured. Yields for most fields will likely be lower than these county records.
